Bricks Spalled or Broken
The end result of water damage in the bricks is spalling and breaking bricks. As the bricks usually break apart inside before the faces start to fall off, it is often a waste of money to attempt repairs at this point. Usually within a few years or less of repair work, other bricks with unseen damage are breaking apart and the original repairs are wasted.
Under some circumstances, however, it can makes sense to replace a few bricks or at least use sealants to slow the process significantly. We will give you the range of available options for the situation, so you can make the best decision for your own priorities and circumstances.
